I wish I could rate lower than 1 star. Please, avoid doing business with this company at all costs. Both the Spanish and English representatives are extremely impolite. When I called to request an extension for the first time, they rudely refused and had the audacity to inquire about my personal life, asking what I eat, how I spend my money, who I live with, and the amount of my paychecks. It's none of their business what I do with my money or my personal affairs. They even suggested bluntly that I should work for Uber or DoorDash as a side job. The representative was shouting at me, questioning why I don't answer the phone. I receive relentless emails and calls from them, four times a day. If you ever come across this mortgage company, do not accept their services. They should not be operating. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, with incredibly rude representatives.

They are so rude. I will never refer anyone to 21st Mortgage. I tried to do an early payoff, and they won't knock anything off. In 2015, it was $55,000; in 2023, it's $45,000. The interest rate is ridiculous.

I've been dealing with MLO Sam Greene! This guy has been awesome! Very helpful and a great guy! My salesman at the dealership I'm using is a rookie, so to speak. Sam called and went over a few things with ease! So far, it has been great!

21st provided me with my first mortgage ever when others wouldn't bother. Their ability to handle highly unique situations—like both my mother and I having VA loan benefits, yet with no way to use either of them on a manufactured home—was impressive.

We figured we were completely out of luck, but 21st and its professionals (I certainly think of Tyler) seemed to never stop. They tenaciously worked out any ideas or compromise until what seemed hopeless became a set of keys.

Even now, two years later, they always treat this like a joint professional goal to work towards together, always having time to talk, and only seeming to want every party to achieve their goal of total home ownership. It never feels one-sided in terms of who benefits.

They just remind me of the feeling of something 'real', which is refreshing in today's world; as hard to articulate as it is to find. Thanks Tyler, and not just because we share a name :)

Too bad one star is the lowest we can rate for this company. Chase and Steven were completely rude and unprofessional. They had no consideration at all after I told them that I was laid off from my job. They responded that I am an irresponsible customer and that I am not making my mortgage a priority. It's the 5th of the month, and they are harassing me for a payment when I clearly stated that I will make a payment on Friday. I have always made payments before the 15th. I was spoken to as if I have never in my life made a mortgage payment to them. They always get their money and in full. You all can sign me up for the class-action lawsuit; I'm in.
I asked if there was an alternative option and they said to make the payment on the 1st per the contract. Well, that's really not an alternative! Worst company ever!

I have been with them for about 2 years. I've never once been past the 17th of the month without incurring a late fee on my payment. In October, anticipating a slow work season, I paid up for both October and November, and I was correct—work has been incredibly slow. So when I realized I couldn't make my payment for December, I pulled money from my 401(k) and talked to them. That was yesterday, only 21 days late—not even a month. The lady on the phone made me hate myself. She told me I'm a terrible customer and the reason houses get foreclosed. If I don't pay that day, there will be a sheriff at my door to evict me that night. She was so rude and abusive, insulting me, saying "Good luck keeping a roof over your head with your credit score." I tried to talk, and she actually yelled at me and called me names. I was shocked and in fear, as all I could think of was my children being homeless at Christmas. I sold off my guitar collection and got the bill paid. (Keep in mind I just needed maybe 7-10 days to pay up the December and January payments all at once when my check came in.) She then told me she would hold my account to it and foreclose and evict me on the 1st of January if January's payment was not paid in the morning of the first.

After paying the bill, I called the regular line and asked to speak with their late payment supervisor; his name was Damian. He was polite and did apologize, saying he was sorry and acknowledging that I had good payment history. That's not how she should have talked to me. They won't evict me the same day as my first phone call about being late. But the damage is done. For the first time in my life, I'm personally hurt by a company. I've never felt so worthless.
