Everything you said is spot on. I learned to make tzaziki in Greece. We added fresh
Dill and red wine vinegar to taste. It's perfect.

Really good with Greek salad and Greek lemon pilaf. I use ready made Tzatziki and garlic granules in the marinade but it turns out great ever time.

We loved this!!! I would strongly recommend a lot of red peppers and green peppers and red onions on the skewers. Actually, didn't care for the zucchini... would leave that off next time. Will definitely make this many times more!

Husband LOVED this; I thought it was only OK, nothing to jump up and down about. It makes an easy meal on a hot summer evening. Served with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and warm pitas for a light dinner sandwich.

This was good, the sauce was delish but next time I'm going to add red onion to the skewers, it just needed some more zing to it, and I'll add the zucchini to the marinade as well.

Absolutely delicious recipe! Made this tonight. Followed the recipe to the letter, but doubled the amount (and still didn't have quite enough for my ravenous family!). I didn't make the tzatziki this time around but I'm planning to the next time we make it. I served it with some flatbread, feta and lettuce/tomatoes/onions for the family members who wanted to turn it into a "sandwich". Will definitely be making it again!

This is a favorite for us, but we skip the skewers, increase the marinade to account for whole, boneless thighs or breasts and serve right from the grill accompanied by Greek roasted potatoes (toss with olive oil, rosemary, kosher salt, ground pepper), and whatever green veggie looks freshest and in-season. Yum!

We loved the flavor of the chicken, came out moist and flavorful and without much work. I did marinate mine all afternoon and served with a greek salad and pita bread.

This recipe is fabulous! I followed the recipe exactly for both the souvlaki and tzatziki sauce. I was able to make 3 skewers with this recipe, approximately 9 inches in length. I used naan bread (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/naan/detail.aspx), added the cooked souvlaki from the skewer with half of a lemon squeezed on top, then added some tzatziki and a little feta cheese. The flavor is amazing!

This was so easy to make and delicious! We cooked it on the bbq and it will easily become a weeknight staple for us. I might add some white onion next time ;)

The marinade is delicious, and it's a quick dinner to throw together. Two suggestions on the tzaziki sauce - use English cucumbers and let them drain for 30 minutes or so. Also start with plain yogurt (my store regularly carries Stonyfield organic), line a mesh strainer with cheesecloth or paper towels, add twice as much yogurt as you will need, and place the strainer in a bowl. Set in refrigerator for at least an hour or until it's good and thick. Now you have Greek style yogurt at about a quarter of the cost.

Very tasty and fairly simple to make. I too used Greek yogurt (vanilla) for the sauce and used my George Foreman grill. The zucchini was very good (and I'm not a big zucchini fan). The sauce is very cucumbery so if you don't like cucumbers (like my husband), you may not enjoy the sauce. Definitely make again.

Fantastic! I made this for a dinner party and got rave reviews from all of my guests. I served it with fresh homemade tabouli and a cucumber/tomato/onion/feta salad. Instead of using an outdoor grill, I cooked the skewers indoors on the panini setting of my Cuisinart Griddler - worked perfectly. :-)

Great recipe for busy weeknights as well as a nice grill recipe for bbq picnics with friends and family. LOVED the Tzatziki sauce! Works perfectly as a salad dressing as well. The only thing I changed was the addition of extra vegetables such as mushrooms, tomatoes, and bell peppers. Chicken came out beautifully, very moist and delicious.

This is a fantastic recipe. I make it often for guests because you can marinate and skewer the chicken ahead of time. I follow the ingredients to a tee, and marinate overnight. I grill extra vegetables such as peppers, onions, and tomatoes along with the zucchini. Always a hit!

One of the best recipes I've made yet. A few little changes - marinaded the chicken for the entire day while at work. I also added all types of marinaded veggies to the skewers. Before adding the cumcumber to the sauce I sqeezed the shavings out a bit so it wasn't too watery, and also used greek yogurt instead of regular. Served in whole-wheat pitas. YUM!

very good weekday recipe. I cut back the garlic a little and used 1/4 cup greek yogurt, so my sauce was not soupy as in some reviews, and there was plenty. Made the skewers on the grill

Wonderful and easy. I didn't have time to put on skewers so cooked chicken and zucchini in grill basket on the grill. I used the leftovers to make sandwiches on pita bread the next day. Will definitely make again.

Wonderful flavors! The whole family loved this one (son #2 wasn't crazy about the zucchini, but he's the picky one). I tripled the recipe to serve 6, but the Tzatziki sauce probably only needed to be doubled -- we had tons left over. Next time, I would scale back the garlic when tripling. I used the grill plates on my panini grill, so I was able to cut back the time by a couple minutes, and the meat had beautiful hash marks. I used Greek yogurt for the sauce which made it very creamy. I will definitely make this again. Probably soon, to use the leftover tzatziki!

We really liked the marinade for this-I let it go for a few hours. I also added red/yellow bell pepper, cherry tomatoes & fresh pineapple chunks onto the skewers, & grilled some vidalia onions alongside--most excellent. Definitely use greek yogurt for the tzatziki (or drain your regular yogurt). Served with pita & hummus and a salad. Plan to use the leftovers (doubled the recipe) in couscous for secondary dinner this week.

The family loved this easy recipe. I marinated the chicken overnight and made the Tzatziki sauce the night before as well. I used the single serving size of Dannon's Greek yogurt which had very little water and conveniently measures almost exactlly what the recipe requires. The sauce was perfect! Served the dish with Naan bread (Indian flatbread-like pita without the pocket!) Will make this again!

Excellent flavour, simple to make. Used boneless thighs-more flavour. Difficulty shredding the cucumber-can't use food processor as it makes it too watery.

This is delicious and makes a super-easy dinner! I quadruple the recipe and for everyday dinners, I cut up zucchini and red onions and put the chicken, marinade and all, in a glass baking dish and cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes. So good!

I have been making this recipe for years, it is my go to chicken recipe for the summer and I also make it on an indoor grill in the winter. I most recently made for a BBQ where I also served steak tips, jerk pork and the standard hamburgers and hot dogs. This was the favorite. Changes - I marinate overnight so I can just pull it out and grill the next day. I usually add eggplant and whole mushrooms to the skewers along with the zucchini, or more often just skewer the chicken alone and make the veggies in a grill basket alongside. I make a second batch of marinade to put the zucchini and eggplant in the day of cooking. Lastly, I always at least double the recipe since the leftovers are so good.

This was pretty good although the chicken was a little dry. I marinated mine for 2 hours and it had great flavor, and made sure to let my yogurt and cucumber drain to avoid a watery sauce. This would also be great in the summer.

This is one of our favorite dishes when we're craving Mediterranean flavor. Instead of using the grill, I usually end up draining the marinade and sauteeing the chicken and steaming the zucchini for a quick weeknight dinner, and it's still fabulous. Served with store-bought hummus and flatbread. This would be a nice recipe for a summer cookout, too.

Surprisingly good for such a simple recipe. This marinade is great and would also work for fish. I cooked mine on my gas grill rather than a grill pan so the kebobs had a nice smokey flavor. Rather than discarding the marinade I brought it to a boil then let it cool and used it to baste the kebobs on the grill. The tzatziki was tasty. Next time I may add a little mint or dill. I also let my yogurt drain to thicken it. Served it this time with orzo but next time I think I would like to try it with grilled pita bread.

This recipe was great for a family get-together, where lots of people with different ages and tolerance for spices were present. The chicken was flavorful without being too spicy. One of the previous reviewers mentioned that the sauce was too soupy--we put the fat-free yogurt in a colander lined with paper towels to drain for a few hours, and then scraped off the thickened yogurt and added the rest of the ingredients. Our yogurt was still fat free, but made a much thicker sauce. A huge hit!

This was great. I had about 2 1/2 pounds of chicken so I increased everything for the marinade 5 fold. Since my husband doesn't like zucchini I made separate skewers of chicken and zucchini and also added onion skewers. I also substituted Greek seasoning for the oregano and used Greek yogurt in place of the regular yogurt. Oh, and I cooked mine under the broiler and served it with Near East Pine-nut Couscous sprinkled with a little parmesan. I will definitely make this recipe again.

I made this recipe as part of a Greek dinner for family and friends. The souvlaki was enjoyed by all ages. We added light versions of Greek Salad and Spanakopita as our side dishes. This souvlaki recipe will be a family favorite and is easy to prepare. I followed the recipe as directed and broiled the Souvlaki in the oven. Delicious!
