I went to the emergency room about 7:00 PM on Aug. 25. I was called by reception within 3 - 4 minutes and seen by an RN and NP about 5 minutes later. Very quick and courteous service. They diagnosed my problem - the one I came in for and found one that I had not come in for. I had a CT scan and X-Ray, followed by treatment and thorough instructions on follow up. While there were some long gaps between nurse/doctor visits, I realize that there were many other patients and that they had to triage everyone, so the waits were reasonable. I was extremely pleased by the courtesy, professionalism, and good nature of all the staff. Highly recommended.

I had a good overall experience. The only negative experience there was the somewhat long time span between being admitted to being discharged. According to the intercom announcements, there were a few urgent, time-critical cases that the staff had to oversee before I was seen. As a previous healthcare provider, I completely understood the importance of well-thought triage. Therefore, my only complaint is nullified, and five stars must be entered into the record.

Pediatric ER
I cannot say enough positive things about the staff working there. Always friendly, helpful, making my children comfortable. I have 4 kids and have been there for numerous reasons over the years. Wonderful staff.

*** UPDATE: Another extra special shout out to Cheri Thompson in the registration department, as frequent visits are for my family of 5 she always makes the visits extremely pleasant and treats my little ones like family. Inova is truly blessed to have her on their team!

Since moving here I have been having trouble with finding a good ER to take my kiddos too when we have these late night emergencies. When I came here at first I was a little annoyed at the front desk lady asking me if I had someone to keep my other kids who weren’t being seen ( obviously if I did I wouldn’t have brought them all with me ) BUT after talking with her and getting checking in she was very kind. Moving on to the nurses and doctors, and registar in the peds unit AMAZING !!! When I say I haven’t felt this home like feeling since leaving MN until I came here tonight! I felt safe, I felt like my kids were treated like family. Like everyone there was their aunts and uncles. As we have no family here it felt good to have a few hours of feeling like we were surrounded by people who care! They just do not know how much it truly meant to my family for them to treat us with such kindness and love! If I could give daisy rewards to all of them I will!! As a single mother of 4 little ones it was nice to instead of hearing “ you have your hands full “ to actually getting help with my full hands ! A++ to ALL STAFF ! Especially to nurse Medelyn and Registar Cheri . From my family to yours!! Have a blessed one

Big shout out and thanks to the crew at Inova Children's ER. My daughter is Diabetic and hates hospitals and especially needles at this point, but Ruth Ann, Minh, Allyson, and Dr Ali (and everyone else present) made what is usually a very anxious experience for her a fun, standout, and painless one. By the end she was saying she loved this hospital, and that simply does NOT happen. This has already made her less afraid of coming back for one of those occasional visits which is invaluable. Thanks again everyone!

This hospital is 100% better than Manassas!! Took my wife to Manassas and they miss diagnosed her, came to Loudoun and they actually took the time to listen and were absolutely the best. Sabrina and Joseph were her nurses and were absolutely amazing. Guys bring your families here.

The best service I have ever experienced. Katie was a gem. Our daughter (22 months) stuck a small ball from a Christmas decoration up her nose. It was so far that the urgent care we first went to couldn't even help us. The staff at the pediatrician wing of INOVA was so kind and helpful. They let our daughter watch cartoons on their IPad while they took her vitals and gave her a Teddy Bear and some bubbles when it was all done. They used a special tool to get the ball out and did it so quickly. I was a mess as most first time moms would be, the dr Katie even gave me a comforting hug when it was all over, since she could see I was a wreck. If you are wondering where to take your child in case of a medical emergency, INOVA Loudoun is for you and your child!
