Easy passport renewals
Start an application with FedEx Office online or in-store.
Generally, we make deliveries from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday–Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday for residential deliveries. Residential deliveries may be eligible to be redirected to a nearby FedEx location or participating retail location like Walgreens or Dollar General to be held for pickup for up to 7 days.
FedEx will hold your package for up to 7 days for both FedEx Ground® service and FedEx Express® service before it's returned to the shipper. You'll need to bring your tracking number, government-issued photo ID, and your door tag number. To learn where your package is being held, you'll need to track your package.
“In transit” means your package is on its way to its final destination. It doesn't necessarily mean your package is in a moving vehicle like an airplane or truck. It might be at one of our facilities. “Your package is out for delivery.”
How do I create a prepaid label? Open FedEx Ship Manager and go to Returns to create the prepaid label.Then, select whether you'd like to email the label to the recipient or send it via courier.
For FedEx Home Delivery, however, end of day is 8 pm local time. If you're shipping packages, your cutoff for shipping out that day will vary by where you're shipping. FedEx shipping locations may have a cutoff as late as 7 pm for Zone 1 packages. Expect an earlier cutoff for parcels shipped farther.
Deliveries can occur between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time. To avoid disturbing you, delivery drivers may knock on the door, ring the doorbell, or directly contact you for delivery only between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:00 pm local time, unless your delivery is scheduled or requires a signature.
If a shipment requires, either an indirect, direct or adult signature, and a delivery attempt is made, but no one is there to sign for the package, the driver will leave a door tag at the recipient's door. If no signature is required, the shipment will be left at the recipient's door.
If we didn't deliver your package on time, you may be able to request a refund or an adjusted invoice. To submit a claim, simply fill out this form and we'll either process it automatically or be in touch about the next steps.
Are FedEx delivery times accurate enough? FedEx is known for its reliable delivery times, offering various service levels for different needs. While they strive for accuracy, occasional delays due to weather or high volumes may occur. FedEx provides tracking information to keep customers informed.
Generally, FedEx requires a signature on all deliveries. However, we may be able to leave your package without a signature on the following conditions: - Have a suitable secure location to leave your package. - Your signature on the delivery attempt notice.
Will my package be delivered today if it says in transit / Does in transit mean it will arrive and be delivered today? The status “In Transit” indicates that a package is either on the move within the carrier's network or being processed at a facility, but it does not definitively mean that it will arrive today.
So what does out for delivery mean? It means that a package has reached a shipping transit point near the recipient and been loaded on a truck headed toward its final delivery destination. In most cases, once a package is marked as 'out for delivery', it will arrive later that day.
At a local FedEx facility means that your package has arrived at a local FedEx facility and is awaiting the next steps to move toward its final destination. If your package status is 'At a local FedEx facility': Your package is still on its journey.
If you have a tracking number for your package, you can find out the address it is being sent to by going to the USPS website and inputting the tracking number. The website will then show you the current status of your package and its estimated delivery date.

FedEx Home Delivery, which is part of the FedEx Ground network, delivers packages 150 lbs. or less to residences every day of the week. A $5.15 residential surcharge is applied per package. FedEx Ground delivers packages 150 lbs. or less to businesses or commercial areas Monday–Friday.
